Worship Bring God's Presence

I have been thinking a lot about Worship. As an exhort er, singer, writer, Worshiper I spend a lot of time in Private Worship. What has been on my mind the last few days is the first time that I realized that worship brings God's presence.
I remember being at a prayer meeting in the early 80's. It was then I had a life changing experience in worship that has been vital through the rest of my Christian walk.
It reminds me in some ways of how Bro. Dave discovered the tremendous power behind praying in tongues.
I was at a small church, in a small town, with a small gathering of people that had came together to pray. After praying for the the special request, we each took our own positions around the room making our own little prayer closets for our personal edification. Probably due to lack of endurance to pray in the Spirit and having ran out of all known prayer needs of my own, I decided to Worship God!
Oh my, I never realized how little I knew about this Gigantic, Awesome God that we serve. I remember my words were ever so thoughtful as I had to determine each thing I would say to Him as a form of Adoration.
Something like this, Father, I love You. You are the God that shut the mouth of the lions. You are the God that split the Red Sea, You are the God that helped David kill Goliath. It was very simple and elementary, but it was all I really knew... As I knelt there doing my best to worship God all of the sudden His Glory Fell On Me! I was in what I can only describe as a whirlwind and a light. Though my eyes were closed, I think I was afraid to open them, I could see the light around me and hear and feel the whirlwind about me. I knew God had surely inhabited my praises.
As the years have gone by now, the same God that met me there over 25 yrs. ago still comes and inhabits my praise and worship! His Glory falls at the mention of His name when spoken from a heart turned toward Him!
I also remember the first time I heard God's audible voice, again in a time of worship. I was walking around the house saying, " I love You, I love You, I love You so much, I love You."
I want you to imagine for a moment that you are standing in front of a loved one child, spouse, mother, father you are face to face with them and over and over you are saying, " I love you, I love you, I love you. I tell you something would be wrong with that person if they never once replied, I love you too! And that is exactly what God did, I was not expecting it. I was already overwhelmed with His Wonderful Presence, when all of the sudden, I LOVE YOU TOO!
Our Father really loves us, and He cannot resist returning the affection given Him in the Adoration of Praise and Worship!
Keep Worshiping, it brings atmosphere of Heaven to Earth! God Glory in full manifestation! The Glory of God is The manifested Presence of God!
