It's All About Him
This walk is not about me, it is all about You Jesus. You are Lord, You sre King, You are Master, You are Savior! You You You, not me me me!! How quickly we can turn what God had started into our own works! He starts something beautiful and then we get right in the middle of it and try to make things happen - make it "better', make it happen quicker. When all were supposed to do is be submitted to Him - He does the work. We are a vessel for His grace. Grace is me letting You do what You want to do in this earth through me, at no cost to me. I must stop trying to make this happen! Zeal has comsumed me, eaten me up. Pull in the reins Lord, for I want God's best. I must trust Him more.
As I was in my prayer time this morning I turned to Isaiah 50, I love to confess vs 4 & 5, but the Lord had me read it all again and when I got the vs 11 I was so convicted. I have read this many times, but oh how His word is alive! Our church is growing and His grace is moving in the services more and more. It's very exciting out here beyond the green line. People are so hungry for more of the Lord, and as the Lord brings change some are just, well - stuck. I know frustration cannot get ride of frustration, but oh I know I have to let God do the work. My frustartion lies in the fact that I am trying to make it happen, and that is not my job! Oh well, back to the closet for me.
Isaiah 50:11 (Amp) Behold, all you ememies of your own selves who attempt to kindle your own fires and work out your own plans of salvation, who surround and gird yourselves with momentary sparks, darts, and firebrands that you set aflame! - walk by the light of your self-made fire and of the sparks that you have kindled. But this shall you have from My hand: you shall lie down in grief and in torment.

Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.
3I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.
4The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
5The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.
6I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
7For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
8He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.
9Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.
10Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.
11Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.
