My friend in Christ,
In our modern day, the word "cool" has taken on a new significance. Among our youth especially, it's often considered the height of sophistication to be thought of as "cool". An individual who is "cool" is regarded as 'street-wise', 'modern', 'the bomb'', 'avant-garde', 'hip'. A 'cool dude' is one who has got it all together - he is in control of his own life and destiny.
Everything about him is: "I cool, man. I cool!"
He listens to 'cool music', drives a 'cool automobile…

In counselling both men and women, I have been encouraged to write a prayer on overcoming bitterness in marriage and divorce. So often the injustice of the situation in which these people find themselves creates deep hurts, wounds in the spirit, and anger that is so near the surface that the individuals involved risk sinking into the trap of bitterness and revenge. Their thoughts may turn inward as they consider the unfairness of the situation and dwell on how badly they have been treated.
In a…

As a minister of the Gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ, I am often asked: "How many times should I pray the same prayer?"
So I would be very interested to see other people's opinions on this topical discussion, okay!
God bless you all on this network, AMEN!

How can I break the silence?
Why is it so hard to say those first few words about the most important Person in your life? Why do I hesitate to pass along the best news I have ever heard to others? Is there anything that will help me to do the very thing I want so much to do - to tell others that I have found a way of surviving death, living forever, being forgiven of my sins and exploring the goodness of God forever?
In many ways the Church is not silent. The sounds of well-amplified music ech…

GOD saw you when you were in your mother's womb. He knew your mother and father and the circumstances of the home where you were to grow up. He knew the schools you would attend and the neighborhood in which you would live in.
GOD gave you the ability to survive and walked with you through hard times, good times, and bad times. He gave you survival techniques and guardian angels to keep and protect you. He chose you before the foundation of the world to be holy and without blame before Him in…

The New Testament contains Jesus Christ's letters to us, perfumed by His love. These pages are the garments of our King, and they all smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia. Scripture is the royal chariot in which Jesus rides and it is paved with agape love for the daughters of Jerusalem and the seed of Abraham. The Scriptures are the swaddling bands of the Holy Child Jesus, unfold them and you find your Saviour. The quintessence of the Word of God is Christ Jesus Himself!

Gospel music digs deeper than any other music throughout the world today. And those who make it so, and those who have made it so in the past, form an uncompromising band of Christian saints men and women, who have spent decades in contention with all manner of difficult circumstances.
Few performers have had it quite so tough as gospel singers and it shows in the way they commit themselves within a song: The Christian vision of deliverance from spiritual and social shackles has always held out…

Hello in Jesus name dear ones,
Below is an email I sent to the Iktusnet team today.....
" I stand amazed at the grace and favour of God! I know that for you to put our site on yours ...it must be the will of the Father to do it. The threads of the tapestry are being pulled together by the Holy Spirit in this last hour. I find it amazing that way back in 97 in Israel, that the thread named Dave Roberson was weaved into our tapestry and out again. Now 11 years on, he is weaved back into our lives…

It is such a joy to know that you are on the path God has laid out for you. I can honestly say nothing feels better. There are times when things get tough. That's for sure. But when you keep your eye on the prize and grasp hold of your vision and never let go, there is a godly hope that can't be destroyed.
I have a friend who always asks another friend of mine, "what has God been teaching you?" She always gets frustrated with that question because it becomes repetitious, but if you think about…

...we all do. Quirks, idiosyncrasies, whatever you call them, those things we do, say, or think that make us different.
One of mine is the word "share." All to often, I hear that someone is "sharing" a word, a testimony, a praise report, or a scripture. Doesn't the word "share" mean "I'll let you have some, but I keep some for myself," or "I'll let you use this thing, but I want it back."? Where in the Bible does it tell us to "share" like this? Aren't we told to give? Did Jesus "share," or did…

Doing the "MESSAGE"
SUMMARY
Most of us have learned how to survive against the devil and the flesh to the degree that we have made up our minds that we are going to stay saved and serve God no matter what comes our way. The problem is that, even though we determine to stay saved, at times we still allow the devil to put a ceiling on what we will or will not DO FOR God. Or, for that matter, a ceiling on what we will or will not RECEIVE FROM God.
Not everyone is called to preach, but whether th…

"Oregon is where it all began for me. I can still remember the peaceful sounds of the rivers, the pine trees, the fresh air. It was along the banks of Oregon's rivers that I learned how to pray. Even the soft colors of the evergreens were peaceful, and the mountains made me think of God — tall, immovable, final.
To this day, if I was to compare anything to the peace of God, it would be the still quietness of Oregon's wilderness. In the natural, I could not have had an…

Great is your faithfulness oh God!
It is so true. God is so faithful and kind. He moves mountains out of the way and stops the wind from blowing against my progress. When I take a step forward in His direction He runs to me and picks me up. I'm so in love with Him. Everyday I see Him in a better light. I feel His love and I seek His face.
The past few years I have searched and roamed this life with many questions and seeking for many answers. I have found there truley is one answer. One love.…

Being a disciple must have been the greatest thing on Earth! To follow Jesus. To be chosen to walk around and be known as a follower of the Christ. Go with Him everywhere, see His miracles, hear His teachings, and be front and center in the action! They even got to walk in His power and see miracles from their own hands. Their life seemed amazing. Easy. Walking with the Lord and trusting Him everyday. Leaning on His strength and not worrying about a thing. Not that perfect. They all had their do…

If the Victor is living in you, victory is not just a possibility. It’s yours for the taking!
Are you a Christian and still wondering why you’re the victim of so many calamities? Life is not fair. The fact is that you’re living in an imperfect world inside a decaying body of flesh. How victorious is that!
But… you have the DNA of a victor! You may not feel like a winner because you’re subject to emotions, and they are controlled by the soul. First and foremost, though, you are spirit, infused…

If you read my first post, you know about The House of the Risen Son coffeehouse, and Sam Barr's prayer meetings. From these you might have surmised that I was part of both the Jesus Movement and the Charismatic Movement.
The Jesus Movement has a bad reputation in certain circles. I'm not going to defend or rationalize any of the abuses or craziness that took place as part of that movement. I regret that they happened. But the movement was more than a bunch of hippies hanging out in coffeehouse…

I guess I'll start with my testimony.
My older brother David got me going to Baptist church that he was going to. I think we went there mainly for the cute girls that were going there too. Of course, I drifted away. I wound up running around with a weird kid in my neighborhood, and got off into the occult. Thank God I don't mess with that stuff anymore!
Well, one day this weird kid pours a bottle of motor oil on my head! That confused me, so back to church I went, this time seeking some truth.…

Sometimes I wonder what I am doing. I attend a few church services a week. Enough to feel ok about myself and my life. Even lately, I haven't been going to church as much as I used to, or even as much as I should. We've heard it for years. The whole analogy, just because you go to McDonalds doesn't make you a hamburger, and just because you live in a garage doesn't make you a car. So just because you go to church doesn't make you a Christian. You can sit in a presence of God filled service and g…

If you plan to be involved in
Internet Marketing we strongly suggest that you check first if it is not one of the
Internet Scam where only the promoters are making money by asking you, after a free period, to buy and buy more material and a website. For some of these internet marketing offerings you will have to spend hundreds of hours of work for few dollars; or you might have to buy, sell and ship some products.
Internet Marketing success is mostly based on the number of v…

Everything was going wrong. I woke up late. I scurried to the bathroom and stumbled into the shower. I scribbled my makeup on and ratted my hair. I slapped some toothpaste on my teeth and jerked a bottle of water out of the fridge. I ran down the stairs frantically to make it to work on time when I missed the last step and landed right on my back side, breaking my shoe. I was embarrassed, irritated and frustrated! I walked at a very fast pace to my car and quickly sped out of the parking lot bef…

I am very troubled in my spirit. I think we can all agree that music is powerful. We can hear a song with a catchy tune and be humming it for days. We can sing lyrics that if we really think about it, they make no sense. But it sticks. We as humans were made that way. What's funny to me is that satan, when he was an angel, was in charge of Heavens glorious music. That was his "speciality" if you will. He knew what pleasure it brought God and all who worshipped Him.

Sometimes I think it isn’t fair to have a free will. It’s like it’s almost punishment. I would rather be made to do something than have the option to make the wrong decision. The idea that path of my life and the direction it takes is scarey. One thing I am learning though is when you live for God that He will bless whatever you put your hand to. The Bible says if even you give a cup of cold water in His name you will have a reward. And people live that kind of life all the time.
It’s what the…

I never thought I would be saying this but I joined Twitter and I find that I like it. To understand Twitter, you have to understand a little about how Google works. Apparently the search engine likes sites that update a lot (are fresh) and have links to other sites. Twitter fits the bill on both accounts. It is set up to let friends have a bird's eye view of what you are doing. When I make a Squidoo lens, I can check a box and automatically add a short notice to my Twitter account with a link b…

When I first stated making lenses (pages) on Squidoo, I felt like a first time dog in water. I really didn't know whether to sink or swim. The first thing I noticed was that there was not a Christian or religion category to list pages under. I later found someone who had a page speaking to that. They basically said that they could request such a classification but the general consensus was that the mix would be saltier if we simply found places within the other categories. Brilliant!

I was a visitor at Tulsa Family Prayer Center last Sunday, June 22 at the 10 a.m. service. I don't really feel like a visitor there, I've been "visiting" since 2002.
When I walked in the door with my family members, and was looking for seating, Alene greeted me before I could even sit down, and God took over from there. The members of the Body at the Prayer Center are doing the "message" and ministry follows. Alene is an example of that. She was interested in what was happening in our lives, an…

Good Morning,
I would like to compare, for a moment or two, Star Trek's influence on me. I found good moral-ending stories in most episodes of Star Trek from the original Star Trek with Captain James T. Kirk, to The Next Generation with Captain Jean-Luc Picard, to Deep Space Nine with Lt. Commander James Sisko, to Voyager with Captain Katherine Janeway. I have not watched enough of the newest installment of Star Trek-"Enterprise" to make any comments on.
I was always intrigued with the way Gene…

You are born helpless and needy, being totally dependent on nurturance from others. In fact, God has created you with a deep need that can never be satisfied until you turn to Him. One of His Names is El Shaddai, which means: God, the All-Sufficient One.
