TRANSFORMATION KEYS to do the Plan of God in your life

Most of us have learned how to survive against the devil and the flesh to the degree that we have made up our minds that we are going to stay saved and serve God no matter what comes our way. The problem is that, even though we determine to stay saved, at times we still allow the devil to put a ceiling on what we will or will not DO FOR God. Or, for that matter, a ceiling on what we will or will not RECEIVE FROM God.

I know for myself the focus is to continue to develop my walk with the Lord. It is so easy to get caught up with reaching out to others that your walk suffers, especially when you see people in dire straits like you obviously do in His Redeemed-Light District. If it gets to that point you are doing more than the Lord requires of you. The whole point of doing 'the message' is to be mortified enough to be sensitive to the Lord and His voice. The Holy Spirit will only reveal God's heart for you. When we stick with that we will not crash and burn ourselves. The enemy would love nothing more than to get us busy trying to save the world while we fall away in the process.
For the past several years, especially the past two, I was helping my mother take care of my father. He had two strokes. The first one in February 2006 put him in a place where he was never able to walk again. Complications from that stroke and subsequently a second one killed him on March 11. You can imagine the efforts I made in standing for his healing. We had many victories but when he began to see the other side I knew to stop my efforts and that he would go on to heaven. In the middle of this process I was putting forth every bit of time I had when I was not working to helping take care of him, confessions, declarations, etc. to fight for his health. I will never forget two different times I went forward for prayer for him. One was when Gary Carpenter prayed. The other was when Alan Taylor prayed. Both times I was told in essence that this is not your fight. I knew what they meant. I had gone past what God spoke for me to do. I could not build Dad's faith level. He had to fight some on his own. He did for a time but decided to go to heaven.
This is the best example I can give from my own personal experiences. I'm sure you can see the steps applied to any type of ministry situation. When you are dealing with babes in Christ or the lost, the Lord needs to show you when you are to carry someone and when you need to let them go on their own. The enemy will also send people that have no intention of growing but will try and suck on your breast for spiritual strength. Tim Stemple in January 2007 preached a message called Beware of Taking False Responsibility. It was a word from the Lord if I remember correctly. You should be able to listen to the audio on IktusNET. I was grateful to hear that message. Before I started attending TFPC in 2005 I had walked through situations where I had to 'disappear' when I saw that people were not wanting to do what they needed to do to get out of their messes. It is a timely message for us and all Christians that are preparing for the end-time revival that the Lord has revealed to many. We have to be disciplined enough to only do what the Lord has told us to do. When we get outside of that guideline we will be open prey to satan. There is only one savior and his name is not Pamela Cook nor Carlita Liu. His name is Jesus the Christ.
For the past year I have a part of one of the worship teams. That has really helped me put my life in perspective. When I joined the team I had no aspirations but to worship the Lord on stage. I can see where I have dramatically this past year on the inside. I'm convinced that this really helped me since my Dad died in March. I have been pretty stunned at how I have walking through the grieving process. You never know how you will grieve when someone close to you dies. At the same time he is one person that I know loved me to his core along with my Mom. I was horrified at the idea of living life without my parents. I'm walking through it but it is not nearly as hard as I thought it would be. I believe one reason is that when you worship you enter into His perspective.
One phrase that is used a lot in reference to worship is to 'magnify Him'. If you think of the literal meaning of the word magnify the application of magnifying or worshipping Him goes to a new level. You literally focus on who He is, which is a massive thing that we will probably not have revelation of fully until the end of the age. Our view of who He is increases when we worship the Lord whereas when we look at our natural circumstances our view of the Lord could decrease, especially when we become bogged down by those circumstances. When we look at who He is we see what he is capable of doing and more importantly we see clearly that He want to be with us and help us when needed.
I don't want to write a book here but you can imagine how much we hear about the benefits of doing the message here. When we do that the tendency of being pulled away dramatically decreases.
Welcome.
