I have to admit, I am a newbie when it comes to understanding the internet. Oh, I've had a website for many years but it must be a pretty well kept secret because it never got much traffic. When the social networking sites became popular, I thought they were basically for the kids to keep up with their friends or maybe business people to interact. I really didn't see how I fit in with them.
Something has changed of late. It seems like God is blowing me in a new direction and the internet plays a big role in it. I am beginning to understand that those sites I thought of as the kid's toys have some serious marketing potential. If you want to reach people with your message, you have to go where they are and speak their language. We have known that from a missions standpoint but the internet has been an unknown country.
News Flash - the internet belongs to God and He desires a people to learn its language so that they can reach the people who live there. Sound familiar?

In 1981 (as DARPA was secretly working on DARPANET, the ancestor of INTERNET) Charles Capps had the prophecy as follows:
" It will reach all the areas of the earth and the WORD of GOD shall be spread over it and there shall be, as it were, a "NETWORK" of My Word flowing around the earth".
Note: at this time nobody understood the meaning of the Prophecy.
Habakkuk 2:14 says: "But the time is coming when the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of God."
Ezekiel 1: 16 says: "This was the appearance and structure of the wheels: They sparkled like chrysolite, and all four looked alike. Each appeared to be made like a wheel intersecting a wheel." NIV Bible
"As to the appearance of the wheels and their construction: in appearance they gleamed like chrysolite; and the four were formed alike, and their construction work was as it were a wheel within a wheel." Amplified Bible
“Gleam” is defined as a brief beam or flash of light; or to cause to emit a flash of light; or a transient appearance of reflected light.
“Sparkle” is defined as to give off or reflect flashes of light; or gleaming particles.
“Chrysolite” or “Beryl” is defined as a transparent to translucent glassy mineral.
“They gleamed like chrysolite” might very be analogous to the transmission of data by pulses of lights in fiber-optics communication lines.
By applying the Ezekiel 1: 16 scripture to the Internet-Web environment, the Wheels of Ezekiel or EZeKieL Wheels can be seen as an "Intertwined Data Networks” that make the fiber-optics infrastructure of Internet.
The Lord gave us the complete idea of IktusNET in 1996, but we had to wait until October 2005 to be released to develop it and deploy it. Should we had disobeyed and done it earlier it would have been full of false teachings....

Glenna, you are right about God's people embracing new technologies to reach the lost. These technologies are tools, and if the Body of Christ won't use them, the enemy will!
Years ago, some believers called TV the instrument of the devil. Well, the devil is no dummy; he won't use an ineffective instrument. What they failed to see was that the instrument wasn't inherently evil. If the devil could use it, so could Christians. And 2 Christians by the name of Rex Humbard and Oral Roberts did. Now look at the number of Christian TV networks, stations and programs on the air, and on cable and satellite since Oral and Rex started their first broadcasts about 40-50 years ago.
The only thing I would add is that when we use technology for communications, we must do the best we can to be sure that Jesus is glorified!
